API Announces New Executive Team

The Association of Play Industries held its 27th Annual General Meeting on the 14th April 2011 at its Federation House headquarters in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.
The membership enjoyed an update of all the API recent activities and welcomed
its new Executive team.  Executive members are nominated and voted onto the committee by their play industry peers, and the outcomes were as follows:
John Croasdale, Playdale Playgrounds returns for a second term as Chairman. John has been an active member of the Executive committee for a number of years and his company are actually founder members of the API.


Three new representatives joined the Executive at this year’s AGM, Doug Belfield RecordRSS; Doug has worked within the Play Industry for over 15 years and is looking forward to bringing new ideas to the table and continuing to improve the API and its status within the market place.
Kevin Sellwood, Pennine Playgrounds also takes up this new position and is keen to promote the benefits of physical and mental development of children through play.
Alasdair Wellwood, Russell Play has over 15 years industry experience and is seeking to encourage API to form clear direct strategies, improve communication and gain support from all members at all levels to achieve their aims and objectives.
The API also welcomes back Paul Redden eibe Play and Stuart Wetherell, Wicksteed Leisure both of whom have held previous positions on the Executive committee.
Following the official business of the AGM, Members enjoyed the opportunity to network and join in the ‘State of Play Forum’ where members were encouraged to debate industry issues.
