DigiExam test authoring, delivery and grading platform reduces marking time for teachers by 50%

New to the UK is DigiExam an award-winning test authoring, delivery and grading platform designed to reduce marking time by 50% and improve outcomes by freeing teachers up for all important student interaction.

Already adopted by over 1,100 schools and universities across 50 countries the new platform was this year used in Sweden for more than 11% of the country’s national tests.

A software-as-a-service (Saas) offering, DigiExam makes it easy for instructors and teachers to create assessments and exams simply and efficiently, store them in their DigiExam library, re-use assessments, exams and questions, share them with colleagues and drag and drop them into new tests.

Safe and reliable, the software locks down the student’s device during the exam/assessment and allows them to start and write submissions both on and offline. Some of the features in DigiExam include an equation editor, a drawing tool and spell check.

Teachers and lecturers can choose to grade per student or per question, co-grade questions or whole exams and grade anonymously.  An intuitive annotation tool can be used for text based answers or auto-correction used for multiple choice questions.

Commenting on DigiExam’s arrival in the UK Johan Hägglund, CEO at DigiExam, said, "With the UK’s impressive heritage of shaping education for thousands of years, one of our goals since the start has been to bring digital assessments here. We are really thrilled to receive such high levels of interest from our British neighbours."

Earmarked by investors as ‘one to watch’ DigiExam won an EdTechXRise Award this June.  Last year the company was presented with The Shooting Star Award 2015 by the Swedish innovation agency VINNOVA and business magazine Veckans Affärer and ranked as number 2 of the hottest start-ups in Sweden by Internet World in 2015.
