Ealing, Hammersmith & West College London chooses TechnologyOne to streamline financial systems

Ealing, Hammersmith & West College London has purchased leading enterprise software provider TechnologyOne’s OneEducation enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) solution, to eliminate paper-based processes and streamline financial processing.

The OneEducation SaaS solution compromises Financials, Business Intelligence and Supply Chain products and will allow the college to seamlessly capture all financial information from across its four sites into one place, providing powerful dynamic reporting and real-time decision-making for budget holders across the college.

The implementation of TechnologyOne’s solution is part of a strategic move by Ealing, Hammersmith & West College to update and streamline its finance systems to meet the demands of a multi-site college in the 21st century.

Urmila Rasan, Executive Director Finance and Shared Services said: “Our college is one of the largest in London, and we are proud to provide education services to thousands of students from diverse backgrounds, improving their lives through education, training, skills and development.

“In order to provide the best education and training possible for our learners, we need the support of dynamic and integrated systems that can be replicated across multiple sites, while being accessible to all users anywhere, anytime.

“We needed a financial solution that was completely web-enabled, provided from a secure tier three data centre, and could be accessed by any user on any college site within a shared service environment. The solution had to have a hierarchal structure so that we could create separate instances of organisational input, accessible only to authorised staff members from any site. We evaluated the best solutions on the market and TechnologyOne was the only supplier that was able to meet all of our specifications.”

Ms Rasan concludes: “We are looking forward to using the solution fully in the next academic year. By removing arduous administrative duties, we can improve job satisfaction, ensure data quality, reduce transaction processing time and increase the speed of responses. This will free up staff members to focus on value added activities on the frontline, resulting in a better experience for our students.”

Roger Phare, Operating Officer for TechnologyOne in the UK commented: “We are pleased to be working with Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College. The college has truly embraced the challenge ahead with the shared services strategy. By adopting true cloud technology and shared ways of working they will greatly improve flexibility, accountability and staff satisfaction while future-proofing themselves for the education world of tomorrow.”
