EducationCity shortlisted in three categories in the BETT Awards

 BETT 2014 award winner EducationCity, leaders in online educational content for 3-12 year olds worldwide, has been shortlisted as a finalist in three categories within the BETT Awards 2015 - International Digital Resource, ICT Exporter of the Year and ICT Company of the Year – Between £1m and 10m Turnover.  Considered by many as the most esteemed accolade in the industry, the Bett Awards provide a showcase of resources and companies that seek to provide educators with the information, ideas and inspiration that are fundamental to the learning process. They are a celebration of the inspiring creativity and innovation that can be found throughout technology for education.

Shortlisted in the International Digital Education Resource category, EducationCity, whose resource is used in 15,500 schools in over 67 countries, successfully demonstrated that it’s English, maths, science, computing, French, Spanish and English as an Additional Language modules were accessible, inclusive and enabled effective learning.  Most importantly they were able to show that the product allowed teachers to track progression and achievement and that it came complete with e-safety advice for users, teacher guidance and first class customer service.

EducationCity was also named as a finalist in the ICT Exporter of the Year category for its successful international trade crucial to the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Central to its success in the export market is its long-term relationships with local partners who have essential knowledge of each country’s education sector and are well placed to understand teacher and student expectations, culturally and linguistically.

Additionally, EducationCity was shortlisted as a finalist in the category ICT Company of the Year – between £1m and £10m, EducationCity successfully illustrated excellent growth across all areas of its business. The launch of V2 was cited as a key factor positively impacting growth in 2014.

The BETT 2015 Awards - which will be hosted by Josh Widdecombe, Star of Channel 4’s ‘The Last Leg’, ‘Mock the Week’ and ‘Live at the Apollo - are scheduled to take place on Wednesday 21st January 2015 at The Brewery, London EC1Y.
