Innovative Classroom Lofts to be showcased at the Education Show

The Classroom Loft Company will be on Stand C60 at the Education Show at the NEC between the 19th and 21st March 2015. They will be exhibiting their Classroom Lofts.

The stand will highlight the different features and elements a Classroom Loft can have in order to demonstrate their bespoke service which are a new and exciting addition to any Classroom. They are essentially wooden free-standing structures that give extra space and enhance the learning environment for primary and pre-school children. A Classroom Loft is made of wooden panels that create a platform or mezzanine within the Classroom. This platform is reached via a staircase. The loft thus creates at least 2 spaces; an open space on top of the platform and a cosy space underneath for storage or play. The Classroom Lofts add space to any sized classroom and can be used as an additional teaching tool.

Some of the Classroom Lofts will have a features such as shape cut outs or little door and window cut outs that will fuel the young childrens imaginative Play. They are great to use for role play. However they arent just for playtime as they assist with learning too. They can be used for small group work or allow a child to get away and read in the peace and quiet. Many schools have used the loft as a Library, reading area or computer area, demonstrating how they can be used as an additional teaching space.

A Classroom Loft provides a versatile blank canvas within the teaching environment that can be decorated and used to reflect the teaching curriculum for each term. Thats what Mrs Ford, Reception Class Teacher at Rackham Primary School, used hers for; At present my class are learning about space and stars, so for the next few weeks The Den will become our space observatory.

The Herefordshire based Company have been designing and building Classroom Lofts for schools all over the UK for over 4 years. Everything is designed and built by hand, in their workshop to a high standard. The team  are involved in every project from initial discussions and design right through to completion. They design, build and install all the lofts themselves. This friendly team will be at the Education Show to help answer any questions and discuss through any requirements or ideas.
