Free, Expert Advice For Students On Their A-level Results

WHETHER its congratulations or commiserations, students receiving their A-Level results on Thursday (16 August) can receive free expert careers advice on what to do next, thanks to Futures.
Futures, which is based in Nottingham, offers careers advice about apprenticeships, university, resitting exams, job hunting and applications.
Futures provides the service previously delivered by the decommissioned, Connexions.
Michelle Wright, operations director at Futures, said: “A-Level students may have received higher grades than expected or could be disappointed with their results. But it is important that they realise they don’t have to make any decisions about their future alone.
“Our personal careers advisers have the skills, experience and expertise to help and can talk to young people about their options.
“Studying for A-Levels can be a stressful time, but there is no need to panic whatever results young people receive.  Our experts can talk to them and offer advice and guidance about the way forward.”
Up to date information is available for students about courses in further or higher education, they can talk to trained staff and think about employment areas that they may be suited for, consider employment or training vacancies and get help planning a year out before continuing their studies.
