Healthcare Estates March 2015

Registration opens for Healthcare Estates 2015.

Healthcare will be at the forefront of the new governments agenda come the autumn and the Healthcare Estates Conference & Exhibition will provide the perfect opportunity for visitors and delegates to discuss the key issues coming out of parliament.

Over 500 delegates are expected to attend the conference this year with the main topics being announced in May just after the General Election. Victoria Emerton, Conference Director commented ‘we have had over 100 papers submitted this year, more than double previous years and a large number offer great content for the conference. I fully expect the conference to be our biggest yet and a fitting compliment to the exhibition which is also set to grow in 2015’.

Event organisers Step Exhibitions have ensured there is plenty to see and learn about at this year’s Healthcare Estates. Six dedicated zones have been created for visitors coming to the event this year, each one offering different disciplines the chance to gain valuable knowledge on what is happening in their industry and the wider healthcare sector. With more than 3,000 attendees in 2014 over the two days attendance continues to grow and it is important the event caters for all.

The Infection Control & Waterborne Diseases area run in association with The Water Management Society, BEAMA and Legionella Control Association is already proving popular with companies like DDC Dolphin, Eplus, B & V Water Treatment, Sentinel Water Ltd, Graham Asset Management, Teal Patents, The Oakleaf Group and 20/30 Labs Ltd already confirmed the area is already proving popular and will have its own dedicated programme focussed on this important sector.

Free Programmes will also be run for visitors focussing on Energy with partners Carbon Energy Fund and BRE - the Energy zone will look at the ongoing work carried out in the NHS to reduce the carbon footprint; while a dedicated area for Mental Health, Fire and Security will feature products designed to create therapeutic environments, a topic much in the news, and improving safety and security in the patient environment with event partners NAHFO and Design in Mental Health Network.

The IHEEM Technical area, also new in 2015 offers all visitors and members of IHEEM the opportunity to hear from industry experts while meeting and sharing ideas from company affiliates and fellow members.

One of the most popular zones is the Specification area run with partners Architects for Health and the Construction Industry Council dedicated to the design, construction and specification of UK healthcare projects. Cast studies in this area will feature talks from leading specifiers, exhibitors showing the latest technologies and trusts on improving buildings and infrastructure.

Healthcare Estates October, Manchester Central

Healthcare Estates Conference, Exhibition & Dinner takes place on the 20 & 21 October at Manchester Central –the organisers will be continuing to offer NHS employees ‘VIP status’ and a range of other benefits including an appointment making service for those registering early.

Steve Webb added: “We will attract over 500 conference delegates to the conference this year and are working very hard to make the event an attractive proposition to Healthcare employees and the NHS and Private sector.

A large number of NHS Trusts would like to send personnel to the event and costs of travel and time out of the office are key considerations. The earlier visitors and delegates book the cheaper train travel is, we are working with the venue to provide a range of offers including complimentary parking, complimentary tea and coffee on site and discounted delegate rates to the conference, providing a compelling package for NHS and IHEEM members attending”.

Healthcare Estates 2015 takes place on 20 and 21 October at Manchester Central, and, alongside the conference and dinner, will incorporate an exhibition with sector-focussed theatres.
