Mayor Of Barnet Attends Special School Annual Arts Exhibition

The Southover Partnership, one of the UK’s leading, independent special needs organisations, launched The Southover Partnership School’s eighth annual arts and drama exhibition.
Students from The Southover Partnership School, which is known for providing full time education to students with social, emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties as well as children with autism and those at risk of exclusion, work hard each year to produce work which demonstrate their thoughts and emotions.
The Mayor of Barnet, Lisa Rutter, attended the event and commented on what an admirable job the staff and students had done. She referenced the high talent and creativity at the school and warmly commended Carol Frankl, Founder and Managing Director, for setting up the school and organisation. The students were honoured to accept their certificates from her and have their photos taken.
Nine Councillors from across the Borough of Barnet* also attended and were delighted to visit the school and view the student’s work, which ranged from ceramics and art to photography and drama. Their excellent academic achievements were also noted.

Headteacher Helen Jackson says: “Once again, our students really shone this year. I was delighted with the standard of achievement. It’s lovely to see just how much outstanding work is produced. Our students always surprise us with their inventiveness and imaginative response and with their determination to succeed.”
Carol Frankl, Founder and Managing Director of The Southover Partnership, says “The Southover Partnership has grown year on year and we continue to receive exceptional feedback and results from the parents, staff and students in response to our tailored method of education. We are always amazed to experience the genuine warmth, and excitement, from our students, and we cannot underestimate the value of the dedicated time from our teachers and teaching assistants. Our annual exhibition is always a very moving occasion and we delight in our student’s progress.”
