New website for Childcare Expo

Early December saw the launch of a brand new website for Childcare Expo, incorporating all three early years’ shows taking place across the UK in 2016. The first of the tri-annual events is set for next March at Olympia and registration for the third edition of this location is now open for early years professionals to book their free entry tickets.

Childcare Expo has been designed to bring the early years community together for two days of exploring inspiring and educational features, picking up fresh ideas and discovering 1000s of products and services from big brands to bespoke independent suppliers.  This March’s event has plenty on offer for visitors to pack into their trip and enjoy a valuable day out.

For those looking to build on their skills and knowledge, add to their CPD or just get some extra inspiration, the educational seminar programme offers the latest early years updates from sector leaders. Sessions cover a wide variety of topics from looking at strategies to support children with SEND, to ideas to help children develop key language and communication skills and how to apply the forest school ethos in urban settings.

There’s also the opportunity to join in with hands-on workshops including ‘Sensational Messy Fun’, ‘Multi–Sensory Yoga Inspired Activities’, ‘Harnessing the Outdoors to Boost Child Development’ and ‘Having Fun with Phonics in the Early Years’. These fun sessions aim to give visitors some new ideas that they can take away to try in their own settings.

New to the show for 2016, the ‘Wild Place to Play’ is an engaging and interactive zone created by The Childcare Company which combines teacher led resourcing with child led activities. Visitors can pick up some wild ideas for activities including open ended questioning and extension activities as they explore the imaginative areas within this creative zone.
