Stephen Clarke appointed Managing Director by Wauton Samuel, the school management software and services specialist

Wauton Samuel, specialist in school management software and services for nurseries, primary and special schools, has appointed Stephen Clarke as its new Managing Director. Stephen will be responsible for strategy, operations and growth of the business, replacing Abdul Muhaimin who is moving on after a successful 14 year career with the company.

A particular focus for Stephen will be to oversee for schools the smooth transition from their old school management system PASAPP to their new, next generation solution P4. Stephen will also be responsible for maintaining the company’s award-winning customer service, rated excellent, very good or good by 97% of its users.

Stephen joins Wauton Samuel after 15 years as Managing Director of Birmingham-based Contact Group, specialist in communication, data tools and apps for schools and LAs, where he was responsible for growing this start up into a multi-million pound, award-winning business.

Commenting on his new appointment Stephen said: “I’m excited to join such a dedicated and enthusiastic company that has a clear vision and values. Abdul has done an outstanding job securing Crown Commercial Supplier status and growing the company and I intend to build on this to further promote the existing services offered and expand our range using the extensive skills the team here at Wauton Samuel has at its disposal.”

Abdul added: “It has been a privilege to work with such an exceptional, hard working team that really cares and goes the extra mile.”

David Waugh, Chairman, concluded: “The future of the business looks really bright. I am looking forward to seeing Stephen take Wauton Samuel and our excellent team to the next level, while continuing to stay true to our core values of determination, flexibility, integrity, innovation, reward and quality service. We feel privileged to be able to work alongside inspirational headteachers, teachers, business managers and staff across schools and Local Authorities and in doing so help to make a positive impact on the lives of the children in their care.  ”
