Summer Fun With A Tudor Twist

This summer, Henry VIII and his courtiers will gather for a pageant at Hever Castle and visitors are invited to join in the fun. King Henry VIII’s Summer Pageant takes place on July 16th & 17th at the romantic castle near Edenbridge in Kent. It’s a great opportunity to experience life in Tudor times, complete with jousting, have-a-go archery, Tudor dancing and minstrels.

Thrill to the magnificent Knights of Royal England as they return to Hever Castle to joust for the King on this special occasion. Children can come dressed up as young knights or princesses and parade before the Tudor monarch, with prizes for the best costumes. And when visitors get hungry, there’s a Hog Roast Tent* as well as the award-winning restaurants (*chargeable).

The programme of spectacular Jousting Tournaments continues over the summer holiday weekends, including Fridays, on July 23rd – 24th and 29th – 31st, and August 12th – 14th; 19th – 21st and 26th – 27th.  Spectators will be treated to an exciting display of action, stunts, falls and fights as the Knights of Royal England bring the medieval sport of jousting to life in this former castle of Kings. Which knights will win the tournament spurred on by the cheers of the crowds: The brave knights of the Blue Order or their arch rivals from the Red Banner?
