The Marches Academy Trust Festival Of Education
The inaugural Marches Academy Trust Festival of Education will take place on 1st July 2016 in Oswestry, Shropshire. Its aim is to bring together leading educational experts and inspire debate and discussion amongst industry professionals, offering engaging and motivational CPD and presenting panel interviews with a variety of prominent and inspirational practitioners. The event will provide festivalgoers with a number of influential and innovative keynote speakers throughout the day along with unrivalled networking opportunities.
The one-day festival is open to delegates from across the entire breadth of the education sector, including teachers, governors, leadership groups, students, parents and support teams. Our aim? To educate the educators on a number of subjects all linked to our key theme of Visible Learning.
Already confirmed for the event are esteemed educators such as former QCA Director of Curriculum, Professor Mick Waters; PiXL Primary Director, Dr Nick Ware; Regional Schools Commissioner for West Midlands, Pank Patel; and Visible Learning expert Dr Peter DeWitt. These will appear alongside Michael Pawlyn, one of the lead architects of the Eden Project; Owen Paterson MP; and representatives from London Fields Primary School. Meanwhile, CPD and student workshops will be carried out by the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Space Centre, Aardman Animations and The Phoenix Comic amongst many others.
The day will conclude with a unique social and networking evening for all attendees.
